Swimmer Encounters Great White Shark, Analyzed with the Malibu Artist & CSULB Shark Lab

A big thank you to friend of the organization, the Malibu Artist (Carlos), for using his passion for conservation. If you have not checked out his YouTube channel yet, it is a fantastic and informative resource on white shark/human interaction to paint a realistic picture on what is going on off of our West Coast. Carlos not only provides in-depth narration and hosts experts like CSULB Shark Lab, but he also donates ad-revenue to organizations like ours. This is a wonderful example of creating a space for the media, who usually capitalizes on sharks, to give back. Thank you, Malibu Artist!

“In this week's episode, I visit the beach with Patrick Rex, a graduate student at the Shark Lab at California State University, Long Beach. His thesis is specifically about human & shark encounters in Southern California. We search for sharks using our drones and sit down to discuss some of my closest shark encounters to date. *I am donating all ad revenue from this video to SharkAllies.org, a world renown NGO fighting to protect sharks worldwide. Thank you to Patrick Rex, & Dr. Chris Lowe of the Shark Lab for providing me with yet another learning opportunity. CSULU Shark Lab: https://www.csulb.edu/shark-lab.”
