The Shark Allies Team is proud to announce that Stream2Sea is the first company to earn our Shark Free certification. As many of you already know, an estimated 2.7 million sharks are killed every year for their liver oil, squalene or squalane, a highly sought after moisturizing agent. The biggest offender is the cosmetic industry, although countless other industries share responsibility as well.

Stream2Sea, reef-safe sunscreen and skincare brand, was founded on sustainability and ingredient transparency. (Did you know that they are the only company in the world to offer products that are proven safe for freshwater fish, saltwater fish and coral larva?!) That is why we are overjoyed to share with you Stream2Sea's newest product, Shark Free "Super Hydration Squalane" for dehydrated skin and hair, derived from olives. Salty divers, this is for you!

To earn the Shark Allies Shark Free seal of approval, companies must not only use sustainable squalene alternatives, but also list the squalene source right on their ingredients list. Take the guessing out, Stream2Sea is providing customers with pure squalane derived from olives!

The good news doesn't end there... Stream2Sea has announced that they will donate 20% of ALL consumer purchases for the next 90 days to our mission to protect sharks from overfishing around the globe! A big thank you to the Stream2Sea team, and their Aqua Warrior - CEO - Formulator, Autumn Blum, for educating your customers on the importance of ingredient transparency, and for setting a shining example for your fellow brands to lead with sustainability. To check out Shark Free "Super Hydration Squalane" click the button below!
