Another powerful fact to consider is that shark diving and scuba diving, in general, has been the breeding ground for shark advocates. While research and science are important tools to legitimize conservation, shark activism has been powered mostly by passionate divers, photographers, filmmakers, and citizen activists that were first inspired by meeting sharks in the wild.
